    Looking for strong communicator with HR Shared Services & LOA administration experience



    The Lead Human Resources Operations is responsible for leading the activities of the HR Service Center, included processes, documentation, audit, team activity in ticketing system, and escalation of inquiries / issues. Will manage various HR projects and duties. Responsible for the administration of the company’s multi-state leave of absence (LOA) plan and responding to benefit questions related to coverage while on LOA.


    Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

    • Leads the activities of the HR Service Center, including but not limited to: issue resolution, process improvements, process documentation / management, ticket and SLA monitoring in HR ticketing system (Cherwell), creation of monthly stats for team activity, management of transaction audits, assisting with Workday implementation and process changes as a result, and other HR duties as assigned.
    • Oversees the Leave of Absence (LOA) process and administration. The leave of absence process involves the following: directing team members to the appropriate vendor/carrier for LOAs; servings as liaison with HR, Payroll, Team Member’s Manager/Supervisor, and Team Member to assist in the return to work process; responding to internal company and team member requests for information or status regarding claims (LOA, WC, STD, LTD) and benefits; processing benefit payments and LOA data entry. Responds to inquiries from insurance carriers and other benefit partners. Managing and coordinating with external leave of absence administration vendor, including ensuring that employee leave requests and packets are processed timely and required documentation is collected; staying current on state and federal leave of absence laws and regulations; and documenting processes as needed.

    Position Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree required; Associate's Degree preferred.
    • PHR, CEBS, CBP, or other HR certification preferred.
    • 5 years of Human Resources and at least 4 years of Leave of Absence Administration experience in a medium to large multi-state organization required.
    • Working knowledge of FMLA, CFRA, PDL, ADA and other federal and state laws and regulations related to leaves of absence required.
    • Effective communication skills, oral & written.
    • Experience in Word, Excel and other applicable database programs helpful.
    • A highly organized and detail-oriented professional who can work independently.
    • A problem solver that proactively identifies ways to improve.
    • A positive, flexible and caring personality who displays good judgment, inspires confidence and handles confidential matters with discretion.
    • Demonstrates effective communication skills with all levels of the organization to ensure all parties understand their responsibilities during an individual’s absence.
    • Ability to build credibility and trust with employees, HR and management.
    • Demonstrates good judgment by anticipating the consequences of actions and weighing multiple, sometimes conflicting priorities.
    • Working knowledge of HRIS systems, Workday is preferred.
    • Proficient at MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint; experience using Workday preferred, but not required.
