    Come join our team!  In this Patient Advocate position, you'll be collecting patient demographics and history, verifying insurance, and scheduling patient appointments for interventional pain management treatments.  This is a full time position, Monday through Friday, and eligible for the following benefits:

    The Patient Advocate is responsible for maintaining and managing schedules to ensuer maximum capacity. Schedules new patient consultations, follow up office visits and procedures. Inbound/Outbound calls. Acts as a liasion for the patient within TPC. Processes and follows up on orders to ensure all patients are scheduled or followed up on, while ensuring every customer recieves the highest quality of customer service.

     

    Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

    • Incoming/Outgoing calls to/from patients to schedule, confirm or provide instructions. Determines customers’ needs and attempts to resolve the caller’s inquiry or transfers the caller to the appropriate department if unable to resolve or if caller needs further assistance.
    • Responsible for maintaining and managing providers schedules to ensure maximum capacity. Including but not limiting to canceling and rescheduling as needed either by patient request or due to changes in the schedule. 
    • Ensures the gathering of accurate and complete patient information required to complete the scheduling or billing process.
    • Enters all information into the EMR in accordance with documented work processes. Uploads records as needed. Processes orders and ensures completion within a timely manner.
    • Completes any additional job duties as assigned.

    Position Requirements

    • High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.
    • A minimum of three (3) years’ work experience in a medical setting required.
    • Bilingual preferred.
    • Proficient in Centricity.
    • Knowledge of medical terminology/abbreviations.
    • Good understanding of managed care referral and authorization process.
    • Computer skills.
    • Good written and oral communication skills.
    • Solid organizational skills.
    • Good customer service skills.
