    Job Responsibilities

    The Director of Vendor Partnership & Contract Operations is multifaceted. This position serves as the principal liaison between Business Development and Operations. Primary duties include, but are not limited to: contract implemenation for new parternships; construction project management of the buildout and/or re-design of new centers; leading technology upgrade initiatives for exisiting partners; managing all major medical equipment and associated service agreements within the Divison. This role also serves to identify and drive operational efficiencies by optimizing workflow, developing systems to streamline processes, and leading initiatives to develop and implement standard operating procedures.He/she also fosters, develops and maintains effective vendor relations; ensuring that the division receives favorable pricing, access and availability.


    Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

    • Develops systems and processes to manage all major medical equipment and associated service contracts, resulting in shared understanding across the organization.
    • Leads new center start up program including coordination and facilitation of physical building space design and construction, selection of radiation oncology equipment, IT networking and equipment, working with appropriate insurance and regulatory bodies, and supporting finance to secure financing for each project. The design and build out of any space includes contractor bidding, selection and overall leadership and management of all phases of the construction or renovation process at a new site. Oversee and coordinate with Physics and the local site’s clinical team, and equipment vendor to determine the appropriate radiation oncology equipment. Additional responsibilities include interfacing with AO’s IT team for correct network and other IT requirements; Partners with state regulatory bodies on required radiation, construction and applicable health care licensing require pre and post start-up. Transitions new client relationships to local team once site is performing to modeled expectations. ; working with AO insurance carriers to provide proper coverage of design/build projects and all other appropriate coverage after the site becomes operational; supporting the finance team during securing outside financing for each start up project; and supporting the operations team as necessary with staffing and software training.
    • Fosters, develops and maintains effective partnerships with all key vendors for the division. Regularly interacts with radiation oncology equipment and software manufacturers, physics equipment vendors and other medical equipment vendors for equipment purchases, installation and training of staff. Leads the negotiation of all equipment preventive maintenance contracts (et al) and coordinates order fulfillment.
    • Works to identify and improve operational efficiency in all areas of the business.
    • Works cross-functionally to provide key insight during business development deal formation; including but not limited to active participation in financial modeling as it deals with capital expenditure plans, and contributing to each due diligence deal team’s process as necessary.

    Position Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales or Healthcare Management; or equivalent experience required. Master's degree preferred.
    • Sales experience with healthcare services and/or in a hospital environment strongly preferred.
    • Candidate must possess at least five years’ of successful experience in developing long-term, relationship-based, complex, consultative solutions.
    • Must have called on service line, c-suite or like positions in the past with a positive track record.
    • Should have held senior level roles in previous companies.
    • Strong interpersonal skills including adaptability, thinking on their feet, the ability to communicate persuasively, and drives for results.
