The majority of your time will be spent handling reminder calls, but you will also assist with scheduling and pre-registration calls based on business needs. You will be answering incoming calls and making outgoing calls to remind patients of scheduled appointments and instructions. As a Patient Services Associate, you will schedule appointments and pre-register patients for medical scans, as well as contact patients and physicians offices to schedule appointments.


Specific duties for a Patient Services Associate include:

  • Following a prescribed list of questions/scripts and providing standardized responses to get and give information during scheduling, pre-registration, and reminder calls
  • Ensuring the gathering of accurate and complete patient data required to complete the scheduling process and any specific information required by a customer facility
  • Entering all information into the applicable computer system in accordance with documented work processes
  • Determining customers’ needs based on incoming calls; transferring callers to appropriate staff; escalating calls as necessary to Patient Services Supervisor or Patient Services Lead as appropriate

Position Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 6 months to 1 year of medical or related training and/or experience
  • Experience with general office equipment; strong computer skills
